Spoiler: the media has never been great at depicting women. My thesis dug into how feminist artists have spent decades pushing back on feminist stereotypes — and honestly, the list is long. Girls will be Girls started as my introduction article in Women's☕️ (typical), a magazine I created where real women told their own stories for once. My introduction article became the seed for the installation. One project was never going to be enough.
